Hawthorn is Swinburne university's main campus, just 15 minutes on the train from the centre of Melbourne, and in one of the city's most attractive suburbs. Set amongst the cafes, boutiques and shops of Glenferrie Rd, and with the convenience of two supermarkets and a railway station practically on campus, it offers students a terrific study and life balance.
The campus has all student services, many specialised facilities and is the hub of our research and development activities. There are several on-campus accommodation options available and students can also choose to live nearby and walk to class through the parks and leafy backstreets.
The architecturally striking see-through. Advanced Technologies Centre (ATC) is now open for research and teaching at Swinburne University of Technology's Hawthorn campus.
Positioned to showcase the university to the community, the ATC is Swinburne's new 'front door' on Burwood Road and, built at a cost of $140 million, represents the single largest investment in the university's 100 year history.
